Your IBS isn't always a gut problem.
It's a nervous system problem

When anxiety is driving your IBS, diets and medication will only ever do half the job. Real, lasting change means addressing what's actually keeping your symptoms going:  the patterns in your nervous system.

That's what I specialise in. And the specific combination of techniques I use, and the way I use them is unique to this programme.
The IBS Neuro Reset Programme combines gut-directed hypnotherapy, CBT based approaches and advanced rapid change techniques in a structured 1:1 online programme, specifically designed for people whose IBS is driven or worsened by anxiety.

Who this is for

This programme tends to be most effective for people whose anxiety has become closely linked to their IBS symptoms, particularly if there was a time when things became noticeably worse and life started revolving around their gut.

Perhaps it started after a period of stress, a bad flare-up, an embarrassing incident, food poisoning, a difficult journey, or a time when your confidence in your gut began to disappear.

If you've always considered yourself an anxious person and anxiety has affected many areas of your life since childhood, this programme may still help, but it may not be the most appropriate starting point.

The IBS Neuro Reset Programme is designed specifically for anxiety patterns that have developed around IBS and are now keeping symptoms going.

Things clients regularly tell me:

"I called in sick again this morning and I could hear how annoyed my manager was at me not coming into work again"

"I had to leave a meeting today to rush to the bathroom.  It worries me what my colleagues think about me"

"I don't eat breakfast before work as I'm scared I'll have an upset tummy on the train and won't be able to get to the loo"

"I got offered a promotion but I had to turn it down as it means more meetings and an overnight stay once a month"

"I have to keep a change of clothes in my car, just in case.  I'm so embarrassed"

"Everyone went out for a team lunch and I made up an excuse not to go.  I'm worried they will exclude me soon"

"I am a teacher and can't leave the classroom to get to the loo.  I'm so anxious and stressed all of the time"

"I hate having to use the loos at work, there is hardly any privacy.  I end up feeling 'icky' all day"

The real issue

IBS that's driven by anxiety doesn't live in your gut alone.  It lives in the feedback loop between your brain and your digestive system.

When your nervous system stays locked in threat mode, your gut becomes hypersensitive.  Normal foods trigger symptoms.  Stress makes everything worse.  Your body can't regulate itself properly.

That's why changing what you eat only helps so much.  You're not addressing what's keeping the whole system active.

Most treatment addresses the gut. I address the gut, the nervous system, and the specific anxiety patterns that have taken over your daily life.  And I build a plan so you stay well long after our sessions end.

Review from Google (Feb 2026)

"Life changing experience, Debbie is amazing at what she does.

Debbie and I had about 5 sessions together and I can honestly say I feel like I have control of my own thoughts / anxiety after years and years of stress and worry caused by unpredictable stomach problems.

Learning Debbie’s techniques and hypnotherapy audios has helped me feel calmer and more content within myself which I will be forever grateful for. I feel like me again.

Thank you Debbie. 100000% recommend your programme."

What makes this different?

Because this is a focused 5-session programme, I work best with people whose main difficulty is anxiety linked to their IBS rather than longstanding, complex anxiety affecting every area of life.

The programme is designed to break the IBS-anxiety cycle, not provide long-term therapy for lifelong anxiety patterns.

Most IBS programmes treat the gut. Some address the gut-brain connection. What I do goes further.

I work with you to address the specific fears, safety behaviours, and ingrained anxiety patterns that are keeping your IBS symptoms going.

That layer is treatable. It's just not something that's traditionally been part of IBS care.

Five structured sessions. A private portal with 30 gut-directed hypnotherapy audios and over 80 short IBS videos. Support between every session. And a clear plan for staying well after we finish.
